Philip LumResident of Salinas Age 70, died 7/29/2010. Born 8/31/1939 in San Francisco, CA.Survived by wife Assunta Lee, son Anthony Lee, daughter Sabrina Lee, son-in-law Shaun Tan, granddaughter Kylie Tan as well as brothers and sisters in the Bay Area. Private memorial at sea to be held by family. Philip Lum, a graduate of University of California at Berkeley, was a forensic scientist at the CA Depart of Justice Crime Lab for 20 years where he testified against DUIs on behalf of the state of California.He was an active man who loved volunteering, music, art, & cultural events. He was a member of Toastmasters International, Watsonville Taiko Club, Salinas Chinese Association, Chinese American Citizen's Alliance, and the American Board of Criminalistics.
